چکیده

Abstract Background Pediatric chronic lung disease (CLD) represents a heterogeneous group of several distinct clinical entities, with its prevalence increasing over the last decade. The current study aimed to identify role chest multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) using modified Bhalla scoring for early diagnosis CLD in pediatric patients and determine most common MDCT findings. This prospective involved 45 respiratory symptoms, all whom underwent MDCT. Thereafter, data were analyzed score. Results Chronic diseases classified according their radiological criteria. total CT score, which was significant factor inhalation recurrent inflammatory diseases, varied between 2 21 points, those having autoimmune exhibiting largest value mean severity symptoms not correlated Conclusion Our findings showed that useful tool diagnosing assessing extent, severity, superimposed complications. system allowed systematic primary follow-up assessments various lesions cases varying etiologies.

[Multidetector computed tomography assessment of cardiac comorbidity in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease].

Cardiac comorbidity is one of the most important prognostic factors in lung disease, especially in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The imaging techniques available for the study of this systemic manifestation concomitant with COPD include heart catheterization, transthoracic echocardiography, and magnetic resonance imaging. Multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) represents a sig...

Coronary Multidetector Computed Tomography in the Assessment of Patients With Acute Chest Pain

Background—Noninvasive assessment of coronary atherosclerotic plaque and significant stenosis by coronary multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) may improve early and accurate triage of patients presenting with acute chest pain to the emergency department. Methods and Results—We conducted a blinded, prospective study in patients presenting with acute chest pain to the emergency department bet...

Value of multidetector computed tomography in patients with chest pain and suspected apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

The diagnosis of apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (AHC) is based on the demonstration of myocardial hypertrophy in the apical region of the left ventricle, usually by echocardiogram.1 However, the ultrasound diagnosis is not always possible, unless a contrast agent is used to render the ventricular chamber opaque and thus obtain a typical “ace of spades” configuration of the left ventricle.2 ...
